The Garrison Library has an important collection of Gibraltar photographs which form part of their archive on the Gibraltar Chronicle and print culture in Gibraltar; these shall also be digitised and made available online.

The Garrison Library has been working with The National Archives at Kew, forerunners in digitising, as a means to identify the challenges of capturing documents and the equipment required. The Kusuma Trust is providing a generous grant for the purchase of equipment and for training. The Kusuma Trust has been working closely with HM Government of Gibraltar and the Garrison Library, and has, over these past 18 months, funded consultations with the National Archives, including a visit in 2013, with further consultations envisaged during 2014.
